WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Claire Afrassiabian and Jessica Toth teamed up at No. 2 doubles, and Kara Shumock and Teresa Grasso picked up wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, but it was not enough to overcome a more powerful Kutztown women’s tennis squad in a PSAC match Friday afternoon.
Afrassiabian and Toth picked up their win, 8-4, over Kaeley McCabe and Tess Wright. Meanwhile, Shumock was a straight-set winner, 6-4, 7-5, and Grasso as well, 6-4, 6-1.
West Chester’s women’s tennis team is 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC East.
